Arts & Culture

The cultural landscape of Bath County is just as breathtaking as the natural one. Musicians, artists, and craftsmen alike find Bath to be the perfect environment for creativity.

Garth Newel Music Center

Garth Newel is a renowned venue for chamber music and aspiring artists. The award winning resident ensemble, the Garth Newel Piano Quartet, presents over 50 concerts each year alongside special programs. An evening or afternoon concert is followed by extraordinary food and refreshments, and visitors can talk directly with the musicians about their craft.

Bath County Art Show

Held in July, the Bath County Art Show is Virginia’s largest indoor art show. Over 900 works from nearly 300 artists are featured, from nearly every medium. Proceeds from the show support community events as well as arts education and scholarships.
