This hard-difficulty trail climbs through diverse ecosystems to reach the century-old stone lookout cabin at Tuscarora Overlook, where views of the Allegheny Mountains stretch endlessly toward the horizon. The route passes cascading Blue Suck Falls and traverses ridgelines where the forest opens to reveal layer upon layer of blue-green peaks. Plan for approximately 4 hours 45 minutes of hiking and bring plenty of water, snacks, and your camera—the vistas from Tuscarora demand to be captured, though no photograph truly does justice to standing atop these ancient mountains.
